Injected acetate is produced through an injection moulding process that ensures high density and consistency throughout the structure. Unlike laminated acetate, it has no variations in thickness or internal bubbles. The result is a frame that holds its shape over time, resists daily pressure and delivers a uniform surface finish — a hallmark of premium eyewear.
Optical acrylic is a high-transparency polymer specifically developed for precision visual applications. It has a stable refractive index, meaning it does not distort vision or alter colour perception. It is significantly lighter than glass and more impact-resistant, making it the ideal choice for non-prescription lenses that require maximum clarity with minimal weight.
TR90 is a next-generation thermoplastic polymer originally developed for high-performance applications. With a density of just 1.14 g/cm³ — around 40% lighter than conventional acetate — it offers flexibility without losing structural rigidity. It has shape memory, meaning it returns to its original position after bending. It resists extreme temperatures, sweat and cleaning products, making it one of the preferred choices for intensive daily use.
LUNARE hinges are made from zinc alloy with an anti-corrosion coating. Each hinge is composed of 5 precision-fitted blades with micrometric accuracy, ensuring smooth and controlled movement without play. The central pin is internally threaded to allow tension adjustment over time. Unlike low-quality soldered hinges, these are screwed directly into the frame structure, eliminating the risk of detachment from repeated use.
